| SCL 4900 (doodlebug) on the Tampa-Sarasota former SAL connection in 1968. After the SCL merger, this run was dropped in favor of the ex-ACL route
between the same cities. The 4900 was then re-assigned to the Lakeland - Naples connection where it continued to run until Amtrak took over SCL passenger trains on May 1, 1971. The unit was scrapped soon after. |
